Make sure that the circles are slightly bigger in diameter than the actual CDs.
Slide a decorative element onto a piece of wire. Pierce the wire through the globe to make its axle.
Let’s study some world geography. Draft and embroider different continents on a globe in an order that suits you best.
The least inhabitant and purest part of the world is Antarctica.
I used two different colours to make continents, however you may decide to use more than two colours to make them more detailed.
Should you have patience you may add some exotic islands to your globe.
Slide 2nd decorative element onto the wire (centre top of the globe) and fasten the wire end so that the element stays in place.
Spread some glue onto the wire at the bottom of the globe and wrap some grey colour yarn around (approx. 7-8cm).
To assemble the stand slide Circle 1 onto the wire to follow by CD 1 up to the bit where the wire is wrapped up with thread.
Fasten the longer wire segment underneath the CD 1 as shown.
Cover it with CD 2 and then Circle 2. Join both circles together with sc. Make sure that both circles cover the CDs tight enough and that the stand is stable.
Your Globe pin cushion is ready! So what are your plans for the year to come?
