Materials:
- Yarn of the same thickness for your choice (acrylic, cotton). (I used acrylic yarn, 400 m/100 g)
- Colors: Brown, white, green, red and pink
- A crochet hook, I have 1,5 mm crochet hook
- A sewing needle, matching sewing threads
- A piece of thick cardboard
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc - double crochet
tr - treble crochet
FP dc - Front post double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
dec – decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
(...) x N times – repeat instructions in brackets N times
Basket
Brown yarn.
Rnd 1. 6 sc in a Magic Ring = 6
Rnd 2. 6 inc = 12
Rnd 3. (1 sc, inc)*6 times =18
Rnd 4. (2 sc, inc)*6 times = 24
Rnd 5. (3 sc, inc)*6 times = 30
Cut a circle from a cardboard or a dense plastic to the size of the part.
Rnd 6. (2 sc, inc, 2 sc)*5 times, 2 sc, inc, 2 sl st = 36
Rnd 7. Ch2, work into the back loops only: 36 dc, join into a ring with a sl st = 36
Next, crochet the basket with front post double crochets.
How to Crochet the Front Post Double Crochet Stitch.
Yarn over (yo) and insert your hook from front to back between the posts of the first and second double crochet of the row below, and then from back to front again between the posts of the second and third stitches. (red arrow in the photo).
Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post of the stitch.
You now have 3 loops on the hook.
Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook, twice.
Rnd 8. Ch2, 36 FP dc, join into a ring with a sl st = 36
Rnd 9. Ch2, 36 FP dc, another 1 FP dc to crocheted under the chain of the previous rnd, join into a ring with a sl st =37
Rnd 10. Ch2, 18 FP dc, 2 FP dc to crocheted under the FP dc of the previous rnd (i.e. increase), 18 FP dc, join into a ring with a sl st = 38
Rnd 11. Ch2, 38 FP dc, another 1 FP dc to crocheted under the chain of the previous rnd, join into a ring with a sl st = 39
Rnd 12. Ch2, 39 FP dc, join into a ring with a sl st = 39
Bind off, cut off any excess yarn. Put the cardboard detail inside.

Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
Connect the white colour thread to previously unworked front loops of the 4th round. Work 3 ch.
Insert the hook into the half-loop and work: 3 dc. Continue anti clockwise in a spiral, work into every half-loop 4 dc. Join into a ring with a sl st.
Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
You may work into every loop 5 tr – control and make it as frequently and dense as you like.
Sew a berry or flower on the top.

Bind off, cut off any excess yarn. Form a flower. Sew it on.
