Size:
Approx. 8 x 8 x 8 cm
Material:
Crochet hook 3 mm
DK Yarn in different Colors:
For each Design approx. 9 gr.
Approx 5 gr in the main colour and approx. 4 gr in the second colour. (that varies with each design worked)
DK Yarn used in the pattern: 50 gr = 125m
Filling material
I would suggest to make sure that the filling material is safe for kids toys. I always use a piece of left over cotton Fabric which I wouldn’t use otherwise and lay this between the crochet piece and the filling so no filling can get through the tiny holes.
Abbreviations: (I use US Terms)
ST: Stitch
SC: Single Crochet
CH: Chain stitch
DC: Double Crochet
SS: Slip Stitch

Infos for the pattern:
You can use whatever colours you like most for the Designs. To make it easier in the pattern I’ll only write A or B to show what colour is used and how many stitches of each colour. Each Row starts with 1 chain and all the stitches are single crochet stitches. The Row Pattern would look something like that: 1. Row: 3 A, 4 B, 3 A. So, 3 SC in Colour A for this Design, 4 in Colour B and again 3 in Colour A.
It would be an advantage to have some knowledge about Tapestry crochet as i do not explain it into the detail, but I do have a few basics here:
Tapestry Crochet:
I start the piece with only one colour, cast on the stitches needed and work the rows until the second colour is needed, I attach the second colour at the beginning of the row and work around the second colour until its needed.
it’s important for the colour change to change to the new colour on the very last stitch of the old colour at the very end of the stitch.
That means for the single crochet: start the last stitch of the colour worked until 2loops are on the hook and pull through the very last thread with the new colour.
Work like this the whole graph and crochet around the unused colour for each row until the second colour is not needed anymore. Just cut off the second colour when the last row is worked which has both colours in it. Finish then the piece with only the main colour.
it is important to know that there is a good and a bad side for when tapestry is worked flat. As on the bad (back) side the second colour yarn is carried up and slight seen due to that.
When the row is finished drop the second colour to the bad side, turn the piece and carry the second colour yarn up again and crochet around the thread until needed. With this the yarn is only seen on the back side and not both.
I tried to write the pattern as beginner friendly as possible but if you have any issues or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me either here as a comment or a message and I get back to you as quick as possible.

Sew the Cube together
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lay the pieces down how you want to have them sewn together. (explain a bit further down to how to sew them actually together) Sew the pieces then together after read through it all.
I started with the middle piece (for me it was the letter B or in the second cube the sun) and sew all the pieces around in on to the middle piece and sew on the lower piece
(The Number 1 on my example or for the second cube the Moon on to the Heart)
After this is done I closed the sides (the red arrows)
After that the last part is closed until one last seam is remaining. Fill the filling in to the cube and close the last bit.
To sew the pieces together: lay the back sides of each piece onto each other and crochet together with single crochet stitches. For each side work 20 single crochet stitches.
When you reach a corner connect the corner with a slip stitch with the single crochets (shown in the pictures)
If you prefer you can connect the pieces with slip stitches all the way through, I just preferred the look of the single crochet stitches as it has a proper seam.
