The Dishcloth, Potholder is quite quick knitted, especially if the technique is known. The Cloth is a cute idea for a kitchen decoration or Perfect as a gift for Mother’s day, Father’s day, a wedding or a birthday.
I tried to write the pattern as beginner friendly as possible, if you have any questions or issues during knitting, I’m more than happy to help. Eiter via a comment here or via a private message.
Info’s: (important to read)
CH: chain stitch is never counted as stitch
To simplify the written pattern, I always wrote x sc in Color A, x sc in Color B, which is to indicate what Color, A would be the main Color and B for the heart.
Each row has 35 stitches either Bobble stitches or Single Crochet stitches, each row shows at the end how many Bobble stitches are in the row.
Bobble stitch
The Bobble stitch is worked with 5 DC together in 1 stitch.
Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over pull through once but don’t finish the DC, work that 5x (6 loops on hook) Yarn over again and pull through all loops at once.
1 bobble stitch is always followed by an SC in the next stitch.
Bobble stitches are made on the back side and should puff away from you, make sure to pull the last tread through hard enough so it puffs.
Color change
Work the last stich of one Color until the last pull through (hook in st, yarn over, pull through, and use new Color for last pull through the loops)
For Color change after Bobble stitch work the 5 DC in the Color and finish the stitch with the new Color
Carry Thread
The main-Color thread is carried over on the back rows until needed again,
The heart shape Color is carried back from the end of the heart on front rows (held in the back so it won’t shine through to much) until the start of the heart pattern so it’s at the right place for the next Bobbles.
Start to bring in the Secon Color in the Row when the Color is needed and not before, and stop carrying it in the Row where the last Bobble is worked in that Color.
The Graph
I have some information here if you work the piece with the Graph instead if the row explanation.
The uneven rows are read from right to left and the even rows from left to right.
The x marks where the bobbles are worked. The SC stitches between the Bobbles are always worked in the same Color as the Bobbles except in the 23rd and 25th row where the middle 3 and 7 SC stitches are worked in the main Color to create the heart shape.
The even rows are all Single crochet stitches in the Color A. (the main Color)
The pattern for the Border is after the Row explanation.

Border:
1. Round:
Ch 1 and work 34 SC stitches down the side, work 2 CH stitches in the corner, 35 SC stitches across the bottom, again 2 CH Stitches in the corner, 34 SC stitches up on the second side, again 2 CH stitches in the corner and 35 SC stitches across the top.
Work then 18 ch stitches in the first corner and attach them with a slst in the first stitch of this round for the Hanger.
2. Round:
** Jump over 2 stitches and work 5 DC in the next stitch, jump over 2 Stitches and work 1 SC in the next stitch ** work this until the end of the side row. If there are 3 stitches left instead of 2 just jump over them 3 stitches. Work 10 DC stitches in the edge.
Work the bottom row, the second side row and the top row like this and finish with a slst in the hanger chain.
