Make these adorable reindeer baby booties with this free crochet pattern. The booties are really nice and comfortable. SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED
merino wool (e.g. Schachenmayr Original Extra Merino 50 g/130m) in three colors: beige, brown and red, a bit of white for the muzzle, crochet hook 3 mm, scissors, yarn needle, Fiberfil stuffing, black bead or button can be used for the nose instead of embroidery.

Seamless way of changing color when working in the round
Pick up the new color at the end of the round: inset your hook into the stitch, yarn over the new color and pull through the stitch and the loop on your hook to complete the stitch.
INSTRUCTIONS
To make a magic ring
- Loop the thread twice around your middle finger
- Put the hook under both loops, pull the yarn under the loops and hook the thread again
- Pull the thread through the new loop. The first crochet stitch is ready!
- Repeat the needed number of times.
- Pull the inner threads to tighten the ring.
Seamless way of changing color when working in the round

SOLE
Work with brown color yarn.
Round 1: Starting at center of the sole with chain of 16 stitches.
Round 2: single crochet into the 2nd chain from hook and into each of next 13 stitches, 3 single crochets in the next stitch, then, working in the other side of foundation chain, single crochet in each of next 13 stitches, 2 single crochets in each of next 2 stitches.
Round 3: single crochet in each of next 13 stitches, 2 single crochets in each of next 3 stitches, single crochet in each of next 13 stitches, 2 single crochets in each of next 3 stitches.
Round 4: single crochet in each of next 8 stitches, half double crochet in each of next 3 stitches, double crochet in each of next 3 stitches, 2 double crochets in each of next 6 stitches, double crochet in each of next 3 stitches, half double crochet in each of next 3 stitches, single crochet in each of next 7 stitches, 2 single crochets in the next stitch, single crochet in next stitch, 2 single crochets in next stitch twice, single crochet in next stitch, 2 single crochets in next stitch.

BPDC (back post double crochet)
1. Yarn over just like for a regular double crochet, then insert your hook from back to front, then to back again around the post of the next double crochet in the previous row.
2. Yarn over and pull up a loop, there are 3 loops on the hook. Yarn over again and finish the double crochet.
One back post double crochet is complete.
BOOTIE
Continue crocheting with beige color yarn.
Rounds 1-2: chain 3 stitches, double crochet in each of next 60 stitches around, slip stitch into the top of chain 3.
Round 3: chain 1 stitch, single crochet in each of next 15 stitches, *dc2tog* 12 times, single crochet in each of next 21 stitches.
Round 4: chain 1 stitch, single crochet in each of next 15 stitches, *dc2tog* 6 times, single crochet in each of next 21 stitches
Round 5: chain 1 stitch, single crochet in each of next 15 stitches, chain 2 stitches, *dc7tog*, slip stitch, chain 2 stitches, single crochet in each of next 34 stitches, chain 2 stitches, turn the work.
Change the yarn color to red
Round 6: chain 3 stitches, double crochet in each of next stitch till the end of the round.
FPDC (front post double crochet)
1. Yarn over just like for a regular double crochet, then insert your hook around the post of the next stitch, from back to front around the body of the next stitch.
The hook should now be positioned horizontally behind the double crochet that you’re working around.
2. Draw the yarn around the post of the stitch and pull up a loop. Yarn over again and finish the double crochet.
One front post double crochet is complete.
Rounds 7-10: chain 3 stitches, fpdc in each of next stitch till the end of the round.
Bind off.

EAR (4x)
Crochet using beige color yarn.
Round 1: 6 single crochets into Magic Ring
Round 2: *inc, single crochet in next stitch* (9 stitches)
Round 3: *single crochet in each of next 2 stitches, inc* (12 stitches)
Round 4-8: single crochet in each of next 12 stitches
Round 9: *dec* 6 times.
Bind off leaving a long tail for sewing. Work the second ear the same way.
ASSEMBLY
Around the sides of booties crochet with single crochet´s or crab stitch (reverse single crochet).
Embroider nose with red color yarn.
Sew muzzle to its right place. Weave in all ends.
Sew horns to the bootie. Be sure to step back and take a look to make sure horns are even. Ears are attached to the bootie now. Thread a needle on one of the yarn tails left of the ears, fold the bottom of the ear toward center and sew it to the other side. Place the ears in their right place. Using the yarn left sew them to the bootie. Be sure to step back and take a look to make sure ears and horns are even.
You can add eyes if desired. Ready!
