Baby Hat Crochet Pattern

With these crochet instructions, you can crochet the baby hat yourself. The finished hat can be decorated with appliqués, for example. The instructions for the appliqués shown in the pictures are available separately in the store.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

The instructions are suitable for beginners and are available in German and English (US terminology).

The PDF file contains step-by-step instructions with numerous photos and crochet notation. Crochet lessons are not included; you should have mastered the basic crochet techniques.

You should be able to crochet these stitches:

• Chain stitches
• Slip stitches
• Half double crochets
• Front post double crochets
• Back post double crochets

You should be able to do these techniques:

• Increase stitches
• Crochet in rounds

Size Information

The step-by-step instructions describe a hat for newborns with a head circumference of 13.78". A size chart for hats up to a head circumference of 21.26" is also included.

Materials List

• For this pattern I used 100% baby wool in 2 different colors, e.g. turquoise and beige, but you can also use any other yarn
• Crochet hook size: G/6 (or a crochet hook that matches your chosen yarn)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
