Here I present to you my result of the CrazyPatterns joint campaign Theme Worlds Summer 2024. The campaign was preceded for the first time by a public vote on the topics for which the designers wanted to design new patterns.
The winning topics: "The best of leftovers" and "Maritime, sun, beach and sea". Many thanks to everyone who voted!
My sampler with maritime cross stitch motifs combines both themes.
The connection to the maritime is obvious with embroidery motifs such as mermaids, anchors, sailing ships, beach chairs, fishing trawler, etc. The use of leftover embroidery thread works great with the small embroidery patterns, especially because no colors are specified. As far as the embroidery fabric is concerned, you can also dig into your leftover box. You can embroider wide linen ribbons and sew them into gift bags, make narrow embroidery ribbons into bookmarks with pretty embroidery, or use even smaller leftover fabric as patches for greeting cards. I'll show you a few examples in the photos above.

The embroidery patterns are simple and suitable for beginners. Most consist only of cross stitches, a few also require backstitches, and only the smallest anchor contains a few 3/4 stitches.
