Meet Smokey, the no-sew crochet dragon! This adorable dragon is a special crochet project for those of you who love to crochet but aren't fans of sewing. The entire pattern is designed to be crochet-only—no sewing required!

This 34 cm dragon (measured from head to tail using medium velvet yarn) looks adorable when made with plush yarn like velvet or chenille, making it irresistibly huggable. Worked with fine cotton yarn instead, Smokey reaches a cute size of about 8 cm.

This pattern is great for beginners, but it does have a little twist: you’ll be starting parts of the dragon in front loops or connect other parts on the go.

From 34 cm length (if worked in medium velvet yarn) to 8 cm (if worked with super fine yarn) - this dragon can be made with different yarns, but looks best if made with chenille or velvet yarn.

• Medium velvet or chenille yarn at a recommended hook size of 4 – 5 mm. Yarn used: Bohème Velvet Double by Go Handmade (10 cm = 18 sts) in the colours green, yellow and white
