This is the pattern for my life-size eagle. The eagle is crochet, the feathers are handmade. On 49 pages with many pictures I will show you how to do this amazing eagle.
This pattern is not for bloody beginners, because a lot is also worked after feeling, and I cannot do for all accurate information (e.g., accurate feather sizes, bending of the wires etc) Further must be sometimes worked ¨blind ¨. However, I will come on everything more exactly in the respective sections. For some "works"it will be better, if you are two persons, because, e.g., sewing of the muscles is quite difficult
You will need a lot of materials:
Yarn:
Darkbrown (500 gr)
Yellow approx. 30-50 gr.
Black approx. 10 gr.
White approx. 10 gr.
Rellana Hair white approx. 100 gr.
Fine lightweight yarn (4 threads - not twisted)
Darkbrown approx. 350 gr.
Middle brown approx. 100 gr.
Mixed brown approx. 300 gr.
White ca. approx 30 gr.
Hook size 3,5 (E) and 4 (G) different yarn needles
Other materials:
Winding wire for wire mesh fences, approx. 12 meters
Normal wire 5x
Realy thin wire (brown) from Rayer or other company 1x
Two yellow eyes approx.. 17 mm
Approx 20-25 cm wide elastics -
Scissors,
a lot of glue, small brush, 5-6x hairlacquer
Pair of plier for the wire (cut and bend)
A lot of filling cotton yarn (pillow filling(coarse) for the body and normal filling cotton yarn (fine)
