Tino Bear The Ami
This was such a cute and fun pattern. Tino has lots of personality! My "sewing the pieces together" skills are still a bit crude, but even that went fairly well. I tell my granddaughter that those are the things that make him a "never to be quite duplicated" bear.

I have made this bear and I love him and hope my granddaughter will, too. I've tried looking up amigurumi, though, and can't find out what it means. I'd appreciate an explanation.

I’m so happy you like him, do post a photo if you have time I would love to seeing your work.

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.
Amigurumi are typically animals, but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features, as is typical in Japanese culture.

I love the art of Amigurumi, I’m totally addected it :)

Thank you for that great description of Amigurumi. I love they look of them and will enjoy making more in the future. I wonder if you have any tips on how to sew the arms and legs on more artfully? My 'invisible stitches' were quite visible and not very impressive, I'm afraid. Including some detailed clues about that would help those of us who are trying to expand our skills from basic to next step up. I'll post a photo as soon as I figure out how to do it. Thanks again for your reply.

The real secret is practice practice and practice. My first toys were horrible but then little by little I improved.
Not sure if you had a look at my free pattern Bubble The Ami. It is for an advanced beginner/ intermediate crocheter as it has some difficulties built in that simple shape, however I added a couple of photos on how to sew pieces together in the appendix (see page 9).

Thank you so much for your feedback, much appreciated!
