Hoody for adults/children "Kayla". Size 2 y. - XXL (raglan)

This PDF crochet pattern consists of illustrated tutorial for crocheting hoody "Kayla" for adults (size XS to XXL) and children (size 2 y.- 13 y.) with hood and zig-zag pattern from the bottom (shoulder yoke looks like knitted). This hooded jacket is quite easy to crochet, so the pattern is also suitable for beginners with previous knowledge, but not suitable as a first crochet project.

The jacket is very cosy. It will be your child's perfect companion for evening walks, playing, romping, etc. It is also perfect for sports activities. It can be crocheted for both winter and summer (depending on the wool) and is a unisex raglan jacket (so suitable for boys and girls, for women and men).

Attention! The jacket is crocheted partially with the sl st. Crocheting with the sl st, inserted either in the back loops only or in the front loops only of the previous row, requires a little practice. Before you start crocheting, practice crocheting with an old thick wool (wool scraps). After a few practices, crochet with sl st will work out very quickly. Otherwise, crochet very loosely, take the crochet hook 0.5 to 1 size larger than recommended for your wool.

Tip: For small children, I recommend not making ribbons, but either crocheting the hood and sides as one piece with a few rows of single crochet stitches and sewing on buttons. Or crochet around the hood and sides with fpdc/bpdc and crochet buttonholes from ch on the side.

• Merino Extrafine from Drops, 50 g/105 m, 100% wool, up to size 4-5 y.: 300 g of the color old pink (color no.: 36) and for each additional size 50 g more, 150 g of the color gray (color no.: 04) and for each additional size 50g more, 100 g of the color light gray (color no.: 05) and for each additional size 50 g more. Alternative: Merino Extrafine 120 from Schachenmayr, composition: 100% new wool, run length approx. 120 m / 50 g.
• For adult sizes you need a total of approx. 900g Wool for size XS/S and 100g more for each additional size.
• crochet hook no. 4 and no. 4,5 (EU-size) or no. 8 and 7 (US-size)
• buttons, 5 to 8 pcs (depending on size), diameter from 18 mm to 25 mm (also depending on size of jacket), eyelets with discs from Prym, diameter 11 mm, 1 m. Cord of cotton, 8 mm thick, leather or SnapPap
• Tools: scissors, thick needle, thin needle
