Granny Square Clutch Bag - PA-230

Start with six granny square motifs that are joined to form a ring. Crochet around the top of the ring for a few rounds and then create an opening for the handles. Crochet around the bottom of the ring and continue the body of the bag in the granny square stitch pattern. Crochet the base and attach to bag. Attach a crocheted button and your clutch bag is complete.

Materials List

Materials: The bag shown in the photograph is crocheted in "Basic Stitch Premium" (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Lion Brand Yarns. Since gauge is not crucial for this project, you can use almost any worsted weight or size 4 yarn. About 400 yards of main color and small amounts of three contrast colors will be needed.
Tools: Boye crochet hooks, U.S. sizes G and H.
