Up In The Air - Hot Air Balloon Cushion Knitting Pattern

This could be the perfect cushion for Phileas Fogg? The Up In The Air - Hot Air Balloon Cushion Knitting Pattern is a blooning enthusiasts dream and a quick to knit project.

The hot air balloon cushion is based on the vintage style of balloon with a wicker basket and swags on the balloon. At the top of the swags are rosette like circles to finish off the look.

Knitted in chunky wool it's a quick growing project and looks great with its chunky, luxuriously plump stitches. The balloon is worked from the bottom up in one main piece and the swags and buttons are appliqued on after.

The up in the air hot air balloon cushion can be knitted in any colour combination, I have knitted one in pink as an example of how it would look.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

You only use the basic knitting stitches for this pattern. You do need to pick up stitches from a previous row and knit them together with the current working stitches.
