I made this beanie years ago with myboshi jarn „No. 4“, which is not available any more. It’s been replaced by „No.2“ (85 % cotton / 15 % linen). With „No. 2“ regretably not all the colors I used then are still available. But of course you can be creative here and crochet in your very own favourite colors.
The pattern (17 pages) includes the rasta version as well as the purple version you see on the pictures.
If you have already made beanies and scarfs or something comparable and know the basics, you should not have any problems with the pattern.
required skills:
magic ring, single crochets, chains, half double crochets, double crochets, front and back post half double crochets, increase, decrease, slip stitch, color changing, crocheting in single rows as well as in closed rounds
Beanie:
Head circumference: about 54 cm
Can be adapted by chancing the decreases
Scarf:
length: about 183 cm / breadth: about 20
Depending on how thight you crochet and what head circumference you need, two balls of yarn per main color could be a bit scarce. Better order 1 ball more and make a nice little bag or something else out of the remainders.
