Crochet Pattern: Chloe Halter Top

The halter top "Chloe" is a light and summery piece for every closet, wearable for many occasions in the summer. The pattern consists entirely of puff stitches, which I teach you step by step in the pattern tutorial.

The special thing about this pattern: The pattern includes two instructions, for a short and a long version of the top. While you can tie the short version in the back, you can choose for the long version whether you want to tie it or attach buttons.

Puff stitches, single crochet stitches, half double crochet stitches, slip stitches

Size Information

You can crochet the top according to your individual body measurements. The pattern gives you step by step instructions on how to do this. Therefore, the pattern does not include sizes.

Notes:

• This pattern is suitable for sizes up to and including XL. My goal is always to design patterns that are suitable for any size. But for this top it was not possible.
• The fit of the garment is close to body but not snug and doesn't provide any bust support. I recommend wearing a skin tone bra or nipple covers underneath.

Materials List

Yarn: Superfine/Fingering OR Fine/Sports. I used Hobbii Rainbow Cotton Deluxe 8/4 (057 fuchsia) for the long version and Hobbii Twister Solid (101 Natural White) for the short version.

Yardage: Yarn usage depends on your size and the length of your top. For size M, I used:

• Short version: 220m/240yd
• Long version: 445m/487yd

Gauge swatch:
The gauge is not essential as the design is made to measure. However, if you do not match the gauge, the yarn amount may differ.

10 puff stitches across the row = 3.9 inches/10cm in width
13 rows of the repeat = 3.9 inches/10cm in length

• If you find your swatch pattern is larger, then reduce your hook size.
• If you find your swatch pattern is smaller, then increase your hook size.
• When measuring your gauge, make sure you don't stretch the yarn.

Notions: 3.5 mm crochet hook, wool needle for sewing, tape measure, stitch markers, buttons (for the long version)
