I like to go out with a group of urban sketchers. On my last trip out I was captivated by the variety and abundance of leaves around us so I sketched them. To remember that walk I came up with this pair of socks.
The socks are knitted in the round with the charted pattern repeated once on the front and the back of the leg. For the foot of the sock the pattern is worked once on the top of the foot and the sole is worked in knit stitches.
The socks are knitted top down with a classic turned heel and toe shaping. The toe stitches are grafted together using Kitchener Stitch. The lace pattern is charted only. I have made Youtube tutorials to help you.
Lace knitted in the round on DPNs.

If you choose the original yarn then it might be useful to reinforce toes and heels by carrying a second thread in the same colour for those parts of the sock. Sock yarn is reinforced with bamboo, linen or nylon so should stand up to the wear and tear of being worn on your feet.
