Thilda is a small pillow in the shape of a turtle. It is crocheted with 25 African Flowers in different sizes. You can also make it a heat pad by placing a grain pillow inside.
You will receive two PDF documents which can be downloaded immediately after payment.
PDF 1: First you crochet the single flower motifs. For this you get a detailed and well illustrated pattern. Since many motifs of the same kind are needed, you will soon manage to crochet the flowers without having to look in the pattern. Then you can always crochet a few flower motifs in between. This way you can continue your work on the go.
PDF 2: In the next step, the 22 motifs will be joined together (crocheted). Here you need more concentration. In the pattern everything is described in detail. In addition, you will find many very detailed pictures in the pattern. Step by step you join all the flower motifs to a figure.
The tutorial is written in English (US-terms). Mastery of chain, slip stitches, single crochets and double crochets is assumed.
Size of the finished figure about 25 cm.
You need:
Cotton - crochet yarn 155 m / 50 g / Fingering (14 wpi) (Schachenmayr Organic Cotton) of course you can use any other kind of yarn
crochet hook 2.5 mm; (C/2); (12)
Approx. amount: Olive Green (00070) 25 g, Pastel Green (00072) 45 g, Light Yellow (00021) 15 g (in the tutorial 3 colors are used, you can combine the colors as you like).
Stuffing material or a heat pillow (for heat pack something hot washable and dryable stuffing material e.g. Power Füll 95º washable)
2 safety eyes approx. 6-10 mm big (optional)
Scissors, stitch markers
