You can choose to use your preferred colour(s), All you need to know is how to knit and purl stitch (ribbed stitch) and you will get an easy introduction on how to use a circular needle. You can choose straight knitting needles too but you will need to seam down the back of hat.

RBG
Yarnspirations Red Heart Super Saver #4 worsted weight yarn in (R) hot red, (B) black (364 yds - 333 m - 198 g - 7 oz)
Yarnspirations Bernat Premium #4 worsted weight yarn (EG) evergreen (364 yds - 333 m -198 g - 7 oz)
1note: the amount of yarn listed can knit at least 2 hats.
2note: if using one colour just follow the pattern from start to finish and make it whatever length you desire.
