Hundsstern - made for a star
Wie alles begann:
Eines Tages stand ich im Zoofachgeschäft, um ein Halsband für meinen recht groß geratenen Boxador zu kaufen. Eins gefiel mir und ich fragte, ob es das auch in großen Größen gibt – "ja natürlich", sagte die Verkäuferin, "das gibt es sogar bis Größe 45cm". Höflich unterdrückte ich ein Grinsen, dankte ihr: "das reicht leider nicht ganz" und verließ das Geschäft.
Ich nähe seit langem für mich – warum also nicht auch für den Hund. So entstand das allererste Hundsstern-Halsband, das mein Alfie auch heute, einige Jahre später, noch regelmäßig trägt.
Dann ging es ganz schnell:
Die Gründung des Labels *Hundsstern – made for a star* mit Accessoires, Schnittmustern und DIY-Kits für Hunde und ihre Menschen.
Der Name Hundsstern, die deutsche Bezeichnung für Sirius, den hellsten Stern, ist Label und Motto zugleich.

How it all began:
One day I was in a pet shop to buy a collar for my rather large boxador. There was one that I liked and I asked if it was available in large sizes - "yes of course", said the saleswoman, "it is even available up to size 45cm/17inch". Politely I suppressed a grin, thanked her: "unfortunately, that's not quite big enough" and left the shop.
I have been sewing for myself for a long time - so why not for the dog as well? This is how the very first Hundsstern dog collar was created, and my Alfie still wears it regularly today, some years later.
Then it happened very quickly:
The foundation of the label *Hundsstern - made for a star* with accessories, sewing patterns and DIY kits for dogs and their humans.
The name Hundsstern (Dog Star), which is German for Sirius, the brightest star, is both our label and motto.
