GNOME
An awesome eyecatcher, not only for Christmas. Make them in red or green for Christmas or use them all around the year in colorful variations. Perfect to use up some scrap-yarn as well.
The hat‘s knot is practical especially for the big doorstop version. It‘s very easy to grab and replace the gnome. The smaller Sport weight yarn variant just looks cute with it.
The different sizes are achieved by using different yarn weights per figure.
No sewing! The gnome is done as one piece. No parts need to be sewn on top of each other or on to each other in the end.
All steps are explained in detail in words and pictures, so this pattern is suitable for beginners as well.
This pattern contains 18 pages of crochet instructions and 19 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions.
Used techniques (US crochet terms): magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increases and (invisible) decreases, crocheting in front loops and back loops – explained, changeing yarn-color.
The figures are crocheted in continuous rounds/spirals.
