The Court Jester Tea Cosy knitting pattern enables you to knit this exciting tea cosy of a jester, he's just such great fun. The Court Jester tea cosy is such a happy and colourful tea cosy, that is cute with tinkling bells, what's not to love?
The Jester is in a sitting position with his legs out. I wanted to get his curled up shoes into the composition. His clothing is all mismatched colours as is traditional and is adorned with zig zag frills.
On his head he has a traditional fools hat, knitted in three colours with bells at the tips.
In his hand he is holding a scepter of a miniature jester, that looks just like the jester tea cosy.
The jester is a more challenging tea cosy to knit. The main cosy is knitted sideways to start with and then stitches are picked up along the longer sides. The frill at the waist is knitted in advance and knitted to the main cosy as you go. There are lots of photos to guide you through the making of this cosy and the assembly.
He is such a lovely and fulfilled character. I love his eyes, they make him look so playful. He's so unusual and a wonderful project to make.
This tea cosy is knitted on two pins and is easy to knit with easy to follow instructions. The tea cosy fits an average sized teapot holding about 6 to 8 cups.
This product is the knitting pattern only to make your own Medieval Jester tea cosy.
This pattern will be available as a downloaded digital file straight after purchase, so you can start knitting him straight away.
