Animal Antics Pullover - Machine Knitting Pattern

The pattern for this stranded colourwork pullover is inspired by my daughter's drawings. They are animals jumping and hopping, hence the name “Animal Antics”.

Each section is knitted flat and seamed. The overall shape is a modified drop shoulder with shoulder shaping and simple set in sleeves. There is some shaping at the underarms to give it a better fit. The body is knitted straight. The crew neck, cuffs and bottom edge are finished with 1x1 rib. The colours for the sleeves have been reversed to add extra interest.

It is knitted on a Brother standard gauge knitting machine with punchcard and ribber.

The pattern is written for a standard gauge knitting machine with punch card and ribber.

Knowledge of stranded colour knitting using two colours is essential.

The modified drop shoulder design creates an attractive silhouette without excess width across the sleeves. Underarm shaping also reduces bulk while keeping the overall pattern simple.

Teen 11- 13 years
To fit Chest 81 cm / 32 inches with 7.5 / 10 cm/ 3-4 inches of positive ease.
Finished size: 94 cm / 35 inches.

Drops Fabel 4ply yarn in two colours; 250 g of each colour.
