Crochet pattern - Advent wreath

Crochet tutorial for a small Advent wreath.
for LED candles or LED tea lights

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

If you know how to crochet chain stitches, slip stitches and single crochet stitches, the instructions should be no problem.

Size Information

Crocheted according to the instructions, the Advent wreath has an outer diameter of about 19 cm (the smaller wreath on the photos with the white LED tea lights).
If you take the specified yarn twofold, the Advent wreath gets an outer diameter of about 32 cm (the larger wreath on the photos with the red LED candles).

The white LED tea lights on the smaller wreath have a diameter of 3.5 cm,
the red LED candles on the larger wreath have a diameter of 6.5 cm.

If you use a different yarn, the wreath will get a different size and may need different sizes of lights.

Materials List

For the small Advent wreath:

• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• cotton yarn (for the wreath on the photos/in the instructions Schachenmayr Catania was used), sport/fine (2), yarn ball weight/yardage: 50 g (1.76 oz)/ 125 m (136 yd), approx. 110g (3.90 oz) per wreath.
• filling material, e.g. cotton wool or rice,
• 4 LED tea lights, diameter 3.5 cm.

For the large Advent wreath:

• 5 mm crochet hook
• cotton yarn (for the wreath on the photos/in the instructions Schachenmayr Catania was used), sport/fine (2), yarn ball weight/yardage: 50 g (1.76 oz)/ 125 m (136 yd), approx. 325g (11.46 oz) per wreath.
• filling material, e.g. cotton wool,
• 4 LED candles, diameter 6.5 cm.
