Christmas Tree Skirt “HEXIE STARS”

This is a pattern which came into my mind when I saw the HOBBII Christmas Universe limited edition yarns in 2022. I immediately knew that I wanted to make a Christmas Tree Skirt with it. Therefore I ordered 2 skeins…. and here is the result design …

I needed nearly both skeins for the stars - one skein makes 6 stars.
When I was used to crocheting this pattern, I was able to make 4 stars in one evening.

You may adjust the pattern regarding the dimensions of your need and yarn amount.
You can use whatever yarn you want or have …. also a perfect stash buster!

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

You will crochet the stars in rounds only and join each star to the others on the go.
Pattern in standard crochet stitches, but might be a little bit unusual to do…. Some stitches as “tog” stitches (explanation incuded).
All rounds are done with RS facing.
I decided not to add additional rounds around the stars, I wanted the stars shine for themselves.

you will get a pdf digital written pattern in US Terms, it has 24 pages with 36 pictures explaining how to do the stars and to join them on the go. Many pictures are step-by-step pictures of each round, a photo tutorial..

Finished (blocked) measurements of the complete blanket and stars:
diameter of blanket: 98 cm
one star diameter: 23 cm

Yarn used:
HOBBII Universe Christmas Edition
10x10 cm = 28 sts / 38 rows
98% Premium Acryl, 2% Polyester (glitter)
100 gr/462 m (505 yards)
Needle 3,5 mm, superfine yarn

Yarn amount used:
2 skeins, each 100 gr = 462 m (505 yards)
color 24
some leftovers from the second balls (18 gr)

Crochet Hook: Size 3 mm Clover Armor,
tapestry needle, scissors, stitch makers
