This playful elf hat is a seasonal must have. Use this pattern to make hats for the whole family. The hat is worked in the round without seams, from the bottom up. Pattern support is available via e-mail and I normally respond within 24 hours.

4 mm (6 US) and 3.5 mm (4 US) double pointed (DPNs) or circular needles. Use other needle sizes to obtain the gauge below if required.
Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends. Four stitch markers of which one in a different colour.
Optional: round counter.
YARN & GAUGE
Any DK (light worsted/8 ply/weight 3) yarn with the gauge requirements of 20 stitches and 30 rows in 10 cm (4 in.) worked in stockinette stitch using the larger needles.
You will need approximately 40 (55) 70 (90) 120 (145) 175 metres (45 (60) 75 (100) 130 (160) 190 yards) of yarn in total for the hat in the selected size. This guideline doesn’t include any yarn required for a pompom.
