Measurements
coaster "cup" = approx. 13 cm x 12 cm
coaster "TEA" = 14 cm x 12 cm
Instructions
Coaster "Cup"
Cast 30 stitches with wine red on, turn and work on with rose.
Coaster "Tea"
Cast 31 stitches with wine red on, turn and work on with rose.
Both coasters are now worked using the doubleface technique according to the respective knitting pattern.
Now work a knit stitch in rose into the first burgundy stitch. Do not slip the knitted stitch, but insert the right needle again. This time, knit as if you wanted to knit a stitch and slip it onto the right needle.
There is now a stitch in wine red and rose on the right needle.
Continue according to this principle until all stitches are doubled.
The edges are knitted as follows:
At the beginning, cross the threads with each other, then knit and purl one stitch.
Then continue according to the knitting pattern.
At the end, place the yarn of the front color (penultimate stitch) to the back, slip the stitch and take the yarns of both colors to the front again.
Also slip the last stitch.
Cast off
I start by knitting two knit stitches together twice, which I then bind off.
Now knit two stitches together and fasten off the stitches on the right needle.
Continue like this until all the stitches are used up.
