Choose sewing pattern and tutorial (also included flower tutorial) how to sew stretchy, soft and fashionable double layer velvet headband. And you will get headband that will not be too tight, does not slide around. Wearing headband you will not cause discomfort even throughout the day.

To sew stretchy velvet fabric use straight stretch stitch, today many modern sewing machines have this stitch function.

If your sewing machine only have straight and zigzag stitches, use narrow three step zigzag stitch. Three step is three stitches from point to point.

You do not need a color printer to print sewing patterns, because all lines and marks of patterns are in black color.

Sewing pattern includes 12 sizes, with a head circumference range:

20 1/2 inches (52 cm ) size; 20 7/8 inches (53 cm) size; 21 1/4 inches (54 cm) size; 21 5/8 inches (55 cm) size; 22 inches (56 cm) size; 22 1/2 inches (57 cm) size; 22 7/8 inches (58 cm) size; 23 1/4 inches (59 cm) size; 23 5/8 inches (60 cm) size; 24 inches (61 cm) size; 24 3/8 inches (62 cm) size; 24 7/8 inches (63 cm) size

How to measure your head circumference:

Place the string or tape measure around your head about 1/4 inches (0,5 cm) above your ear, completely circling your head.

All patterns can be printed on both US Letter size paper and A4 size paper.

US Letter size paper: 8.5 x 11.0 inches (21,6 x 27,9 cm); A4 size paper: 8.3 x 11.7 inches (21,0 x 29,7 cm)

To sew headband you need:

You will need a scrap of stretch lightweight soft thin velvet fabric. Scrap size must be 36 inches wide x 12 inches high (92 cm wide x 30 cm high). This scrap size is suitable for small to large size headbands.

You will also need a scrap of thin soft knitted fabric, knitted fabric for flower. Scrap size must be 13 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches high (33 cm wide x 9 cm high). This scrap size is suitable for small to large size headbands.

You will also need 1 large shank button and 5 smaller shank buttons.
