Drawstring Backpack School Bag Cinch Rucksack

Large lined fabric drawstring backpack or duffle / duffel beach bag sewing pattern and tutorial for beginners. You do not need a color printer to print the sewing patterns, because all lines and marks of patterns are in black color.

Backpack has:

• four panels;
• oval flat base;
• one outer pocket with zipper, beyond the second open pocket;
• large inner open patch pocket;
• handle;
• adjustable shoulder straps which are pull through backpack top tubes to gather the backpack.

Backpack finished measurements are:

• 21 1/ 4 inches (54 cm) tall with a 34 3/4 inches (88 cm) circumference.

All pockets of backpack are:

• 9 1/2 inches (24 cm) deep;
• 9 inches (23 cm) wide.

You can print pattern on both US Letter size paper and A4 size paper:

• US Letter size paper: 8.5 x 11.0 inches (21,6 x 27,9 cm)
• A4 size paper: 8.3 x 11.7 inches (21,0 x 29,7 cm)

All measurements in pattern and tutorial are in both inches ('') and centimeters (cm).

To sew backpack you will need:

• A scrap of the yellow thick stiff cotton fabric: 61 x 27 1/2 inches (155 x 70 cm).

• A scrap of the brown thick stiff fabric: 16 x 20 inches (40 x 50 cm).

• A scrap of the blue lining fabric: 73 x 27 1/2 inches (185 x 70 cm).

• A scrap of the non woven fusible interfacing (one side with glue and looks like a sheet of the paper): 10 x 20 inches (25 x 50 cm).

• You will also need two cords for drawstring closure. Each cord must be 86 inches (220 cm) long.

• You will also need one zipper. Zipper must be 10 1/4 inches (26 cm) long.
