The construction of the tea cosy is very much like an envelope. The back panel comes up and over the top to create the owls brow and ears.

The owl cosy has big feathery eyes and a small beak. I love his taloned feet that peep out from the bottom of the main cosy, they really give him character.

The lovely feathery owl is a textured sensation and fun to knit, and he looks adorable. Who wouldn't want this little fella keeping their teapot hot for them?
