Do you enjoy crafting and want to surprise your loved ones with a special, homemade greeting card? Maybe you'd like to send a little holiday cheer to someone who can't be home for Christmas with this "Nativity to Go". This file gives you the opportunity to do just that.
You will receive a
SVG file (vector format)
and a multipage PDF file with instructions in English and German and the templates in original size.
This allows you to make the card parts by hand.
I recommend the use of cardboard (250 - 300 g/sqm).
Please note:
This is a digital download, no physical items will be delivered. The files are for your personal use only! If you use a cutting plotter, please make sure that your cutting program opens/imports the file format before purchasing.
The special 3D effect of the card is created by the special shadow box technique, in which the individual layers are mounted with a little space between them. When assembled, the card is approximately 4.4 cm deep. The front layer of the card shown is made of pearl white metallic cardstock, the layers behind are made of matching metallic cardstock (cream, gold, dark brown).
The card also looks great if you use matching design paper (possibly with gold or glitter elements) for the overlays on the outside.
If something does not work or if you have any questions about the assembly, please send me an e-mail.
If you would like to send the card: This card cannot be sent as a standard letter due to its size and weight, please enquire about the postage incurred.
If you use a cutting plotter, please make sure that your cutting software opens/imports the SVG file format before purchasing. It is assumed that you know how to use a cutting plotter and the corresponding software.
Suitable for beginners.
A detailed PDF tutorial in English and German including the cutting templates in original size is included in the download.
The size of the card is approx. 10.6 x 10.6 cm (depth approx. 4.4 cm), when folded approx. 10.6 x 15 cm (fits into a C6 envelope), the size of the SVG file is of course freely scalable.
(Metallic) cardboard in four coordinated colors (e.g. white, cream, gold, brown), if desired: matching design paper for the outer overlays
Computer with plotter software and a cutting plotter
Alternatively: cutter knife
Glue or double-sided adhesive tape
If you like my tutorial, I would appreciate a positive rating.
