An individually adaptable pattern for a versatile, casual knitted cardigan, designed by Birgit Freyer.
This beautiful cardigan is worked oversized - with lots of positive ease - and has a wonderfully casual drape. The cardigan is worked in several different directions, which showcases the colourways of variegated yarns perfectly.
Stockinette parts, garter ribs and eyelet rows can be combined according to your personal taste.
All parts are knitted together, so there's almost no sewing at the end! Only a small gap in the middle of each square of part 1 has to be closed as a finish.
The pattern describes how to work the cardigan in all individual sizes.
The original sample shown in the picture has been made of Schoppel Zauberball Crazy. The original yarn can be substituted by any variegated yarn in a similar weight.
The pattern contains charts.
Please note: This pattern contains detailed instructions about the construction and shaping, as well as charts for the ridges and eyelet rows. The distribution of the ridges and eyelet rows is up to your choice. On the last page of the pattern, you will find detailed examples.
The pattern (a pdf file) contains 10 pages, including a photo, schematic drawings, charts and detailed explanations about the construction and shaping of the garment.
