This pattern uses the Overlay Mosaic Crochet Technique, if you are familiar with it, this pattern should be pretty easy to follow. If you are not familiar with the technique please watch a video or two on how it is done. It is suprisingly simple to do, and once you get going you can move pretty quickly.
I would say this is a intermediate experience, although a new overlay mosaic crochet person can easily figure it out. It has a chart marked with the x, and colors, and the pattern is written row by row also. The colors are suggestions, so that you can make the blanket your own color choices. :-)
Finished Blanket Size: Approximately 45"by 50"

There are 180 columns and 209 rows.

Size H (5.00 mm) Crochet Hook
Yarn Worsted Weight (Size 4)
Color A: Background color - Blue (or gradient blue like ‘macaw’ for water) 1 skein, Lion Brand Low Tide (3 skeins) - Sunset or RRSS (2 skeins) Hot Sauce - Or your favorite colors.
Color B: Design color - -Red Heart Super Saver: White (2 skeins) - Brown (1 skein), (Gray1 skein), (Black 1 skein) - or your favorite colors.
Border Yarn: Any of the Color Bs
