Double crochet is very famous and they count to the most used and easiest crochet stitches. A double crochet is twice as high as a single crochet. Because of this, your projects will be finished quicker. If you compare a single crochet with a double crochet the double crochet has a more lose stitch pattern.
You differ between half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and double treble crochet.
Double crochet are quite simple to crochet. To make it easier choose a thicker yarn with the fitting crochet hook.
Crochet 3 chains and yarn over hook
Go into the first stitch.
Get the yarn.
Now you have 3 loops on the hook.
get yarn again and pull it through the first 2 loops.
Now you have 2 loops on the hook.
Yarn over and pull it through both loops.
And the 1st double crochet is done!
Yarn over again,
Go into the 2nd stitch and get the yarn.
Now we have again 3 loops on the hook.
Get the yarn and pull it through the first two loops.
Now you have 2 loops on the hook.
Yarn over and pull it through the 2 loops.
And the second double crochet is done!
