Christmas decor. The size of the cone is 3 cm. It looks better if made from mercerized cotton.
Materials:
Brown yarn. I used acrylic yarn, 350 m/100 g.
- A crochet hook, I used 1,5 mm crochet hook
- A sewing needle
- White acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr - treble crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
(...) x N times – repeat instructions in brackets N times
Part 1
1) 5 ch, in 3rd ch from hook: 1 hdc, 2 ch, 1 sl st, (in next loop: 1 sl st, 2 ch, 1 hdc, 2 ch, 1 sl st)×2 times
Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
Part 2
1) 6 sc in a Magic Ring
2) (in 1 loop: 1 sl st, 2 ch, 1 hdc, 2 ch, 1 sl st)×6 times
Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
Part 3 (make 2)
1) 6 hdc in a Magic Ring
2) (in 1 loop: 1 sl st, 2 ch, 2 dc, 2 ch, 1 sl st)×6 times
Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
Part 4 (make 2)
1) 6 sc in a Magic Ring
2) 6 inc (12)
3) (in 1 loop: 1 sl st, 2 ch, 2 dc, 2 ch, 1 sl st, in next loop: 1 sl st)×6 times
Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
Part 5
1) 6 hdc in a Magic Ring
2) (in 1 loop: 1 sl st, 3 ch, 2 tr, 3 ch, 1 sl st)×6 times
Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
Take a 20cm long piece of thread. Attach it to the right side of Part 3. Thread all parts with the right side face down and wrong side face up, starting from Part 3, continue as follows: 4-5-4-3-2-1.
Make a tiny stitch and thread the parts in the reverse order. Do not pull the thread too much. Straighten the scales, fasten the thread.
Use the tail of the thread to make a loop.
Paint the edge of the scales with white paint and DRY brush as shown on the picture.
The pine cone bauble is completed!
