Materials:
- Yarn, (acrylic or cotton) of your choice. Required colors: white, yellow and gray.
I used Alize Cotton Gold yarn, 330 m/100 g. My seagull is 10.5 cm tall + 10 cm for legs.
- A crochet hook, I have 1,5 mm crochet hook;
- Hollow fibre for stuffing;
- For eyes: 2 beads, I used beads with a diameter of 4 mm;
- A piece of thick cardboard;
- A sewing needle.
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch

Turning rows: turn the work in the end of each row.

2. 4 sc, 3 sc together, 4 sc, ch, turn = 9
3. 9 sc, ch, turn = 9
4. 3 sc, 3 sc together, 3 sc, ch, turn = 7
5. 7 sc, ch, turn = 7
6. 2 sc, 3 sc together, 2 sc, ch, turn = 5
7. 5 sc, ch, turn = 5
8. 1 sc, 3 sc together, 1 sc, ch, turn = 3
9. 3 sc together. Do not cut the thread.
Crocheted leg around as follows: 9 sc, 3 sc into point А, 5 sc, 3 sc в into point В, 4 sc, 3 sc into point С, 10 sc. Do not cut the thread.
Work 35 ch. Fasten off, cut off.
Tie a knot in the middle of the chain – this is the knee. Attach and sew on the legs. Sew the wings on.
Beak
Work with yellow colour yarn
Crochet with the wrong side out.
1. 2 ch, from 2nd ch from hook: 6 sc, work 8 ch = 14
2. starting from 2nd ch from hook: 7 sc, 6 sc around, continue along the other side of chain: 7 sc = 20 (see the pictures for guidance)
3. 20 sc
Cut off yarn, leave a tail for further operation.
Connect the sides and sew from point A to B. Pull the thread inside the beak back to point A. Attach the beak with dressmaking pins. Sew it on.
Sew beady eyes.
