Since I know about top down pullover, I work my sweaters only this way.
Sewing together used to annoy me.
I also had to change the measurements every time and sometimes recalcuate them so that the overall look to the top would fit.
A top down pullover saves me this problem.
Material
-
approx. 200 g creative wool dégradé super 6 from Rico (70 % acrylic, 30 % wool) - length 800 m
-
circular needle (3.5 - 4 mm) in different length. Replaceable cable that can be extended are ideal.
-
1 set of 5 double pointed needles or "CrazyTrio" (3.5 - 4 mm)
-
2 short circular needles with end caps or stitch holder for closing the sleeve stitches
-
markers - I use small carabiner hooks for this, which are also used as chain fasteners
-
scissors
-
wool needle
Size costumized
Measurements
Circumference measured slightly taut
Front and back: 96 cm
Sleeves: 30 cm
Length of front and back: 48 cm
Sleeves: 22 cm - measured from pattern 2
Note
For the slants, the second rounds are knitted without increases.
Yarn overs are to be knitted in the right side.
Instructions
Cast on 100 stitches in endless cast on.
Now work 10 rounds in garter stitch pattern alternating 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch.
In the next round - knit stitches - mark the following stitches: 10th, 50th, 60th and 100th stitches. They form the places where the increases are made before and after the markings by yarn overs.
Knit a total of 4 rounds in stockinette stitch.
Now the first pattern begins.
Divide the required number of 20 stitches.
If there are any stitches left over, place them in the middle. In other words, count the pattern from the center and continue to the respective edge.
After the center stitches, knit in mirror image.
Work the pattern according to the knitting pattern.
Continue with the increases until the front and back are wide enough.
Either try on in between or stop at a matching sweater.
The RVO is now large enough to be able to fasten off the sleeve stitches.
Now continue with pattern 1 without increases.
Since the second pattern is worked once before the lower cuff, subtract both the cuff and this pattern from the desired total length of the sweater.
Pattern 1 = 7 cm / pattern 2 = 6 cm / cuff = 5 cm
Sleeves
These are knitted in the second pattern, which requires 10 stitches.
In my case, the number of sleeve stitches after the cast-on was 57 stitches, so I added 3 more stitches.
Knit the pattern according to the chart.
Here the pattern was worked 5 times in length.
Finish the sleeve with 6 rounds in garter stitch (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch alternately)
Knitting pattern
The knit stitches are marked in yellow, the other stitches are purled.
Knit every other round as it appears.
