A dachshund with a stroller
Materials:
For a dachshund and a puppy. Yarn of your choice. Acrylic, wool, velour or cotton will do. I used 400 m/100g acrylic yarn. The length of my dachshund is 12 cm, the length of the puppy is 5 cm. Depending on the thickness of yarn a finished toy size may differ. Yarn of the following colours is required: brown, dark brown.
For a stroller. Choose a yarn twice as thick as the yarn for the dachshund.
- A crochet hook, I used 1,25 mm crochet hook;
- Hollow fibre for stuffing;
- A sewing needle, matching sewing threads;
- For eyes: 2 half-beads, (I used 4 mm diam half-beads) or a few threads of black and white
- A piece of thick cardboard, approx. 5x8 cm (for the stroller base)
- A piece of wire with a diameter of 1,0 – 1,5 mm approx. 60cm long (for the frame, optional)
- A piece of wire with a diameter of 1,5-2 mm approx. 30 - 40cm long (for the stroller)
- For wheels - 4 large buttons in black or brown, or any other colour. I used 3.0 cm diam buttons
