LacE-Bookmark Knitting Pattern "Page Turner"

Produktbeschreibung

"Page Turner" is a knitting pattern for a little bookmark that can be made out of any yarn scraps that you have on hand. It is worked in a leaf lace pattern (both written and charted) that reminds of a beech tree branch, the icord at the beginning being the stem.

The lace pattern is not a pattern that is suitable for knitting beginners, you should be familiar with the basics of lace knitting. But take care, these bookmarks can be addictive. They are very quickly done, it takes about one hour to make one of them. They are a great gift idea for readers who still prefer to read paper books or a nice prezzie to give to your host when you are invited somewhere. You can of course keep them for yourself as well.

There are a few samples shown in the pictures. The blue one was made out of a sport weight cotton yarn, the other two were made out of Lion Brand Vanna's Palette, those minature skeins of acrylic yarn - one skein for one bookmark. Any leftover yarn will work.

If you purchase the pattern, start knitting and (which I don't hope) get to a point where you don't know how to go on, my contact info is in the pattern. I am always happy to help. Please bear in mind that I sometimes need to sleep and don't spend all day on the internet. But I check my mails every day.

Please read below for more pattern details.

Ever had this book that you could not put out of your hands? Well, sometimes even the longest nights have an end – you will need a bookmark. Use it for yourself or gift it to the bookworms in your life.

This little lace bookmark is very quickly done, about an hour for one. While the pattern is written for the use of sport weight cotton yarn, you can of course use any yarn that you like. The yarn will have influence on the size of the bookmark, but a bookmark is nothing that needs to fit you.

The pattern is fully written, a chart for the lace part is included.

Difficulty level: intermediate (icord, increases, decreases, double decreases)

Yarn: Steinbach Capri (100% cotton; 125m/50g; 137yds/1.76oz), 1 ball. 20m (22yds) are enough for one. You can of course use any other yarn as well, any leftover will do.

Needles: 2 DPNs in size 3mm/US 2 1/2

Notions: yarn needle

Gauge: is not important

Size: about 20cm (8in) long

okay
