A lightweight accessory to wear on cool summer evenings outside or for festive occasions to dress up your wardrobe.
The stole is knitted lengthwise from the bottom to the top. It is worked in a ribbed pattern which incorporates a small lace edge at the beginning and can be worked to any size that you would like to achieve. It could as well be a narrower scarf or an even wider stole. The top edge includes an eyelet row which will allow you to thread a ribbon through and wear it as a cape.
The pattern is written and includes a chart for the lace part.
Difficulty level: Intermediate (increases, decreases, double increases, double decreases)
Gauge: 17 stitches/35 rows in ribbed pattern = 10cm/4in
150 x 30cm (60 x 12in)
Yarn: Lana Grossa Meilenweit Special (80% wool, 20% nylon; 209m/50g; 229yds/1.76oz), 3 balls. Sample used 565m (618yds).
Needles: 4mm/US 6 circular needle
Notions: yarn needle, a thin ribbon (optional, in case you want to wear it as a cape)
