This interesting crossover jumper is easier to knit than you would expect. It is made up of 4 strips of k2, p2 rib sewn together in such a way as to create the crossover at the front and the interesting tear drop detail on the back. The sleeves are added and the turtle neck gives the sweater the perfect finish. Instructions are also given for a lower, mock turtle neck if preferred.
Length from back of neck is 55 (57.5) cm, but is easily adjusted by making the strips to the length you require.
Sleeve seam measures 66 (71) cm. This allows for the cuff to either be turned back or for it to cover the hand as far as the knuckles. A shorter sleeve version is also given with a sleeve seam of 56 (61) cm.
You will need 16 balls/928m of GGH Aspen Chunky (58 m/63 yds per 50g) for the small-medium size and 19 balls/1102m for the medium to large size.
Any bulky yarn can be substituted for the recommended yarn as long as the required tension can be achieved.
You will also need 4 stitch holders and a wool sewing needle for sewing up.
