The pattern is written in English, using American crochet terminology, and includes US/UK conversion charts for both stitches and hook sizes.
It is full of hints, tips and photos that help you along the way.
For beginners instructions of basic crochet stitches are provided.

It is crocheted in one piece starting from the feet up to the head. only ears and trunk are sewed on separately. I used a pipe cleaner to make the trunk pose-able.

Difficulty Level: intermediate.
Skills required are sl st, sc, dc, ps, color change and increase/decrease sts.

Cotton Yarn Sport / 5ply / Fine. Usage based on 1 Ball = 50g/1.75oz 125m/137y.
Elephant: 42g (1.5oz) light gray
Clothes and shoes: 17g (0.6oz) coral, 12g (0.4oz) blue and 5g (0.2oz) brown
Elephant’s eyebrows: small quantity of black embroidery floss
Three small buttons, mine are 9mm diameter
A piece of felt
A pipe cleaner for a pose-able trunk
15mm safety eyes
Fiberfill
2.5mm crochet hook (US B/1 – C/2)
