The TeaCosyFolk's Victorian Ice Skater Tea Cosy knitting pattern was inspired by period drama at Christmas time, they always very cold winters and lots of snow and ice so that they could skate on frozen lakes.
The Victorian ice skater is wearing a big dress down to the floor as they used to in the Victorian era. Over the top of her plum colour dress she is wearing a dark red coat with cream edging, and on her head is a Santa style hat adorned with a sprig of holly.
It's not until we see the back of the cosy that we see the elevated foot and ice skate. She's gliding along on one leg.
She makes me think of that snowy scene in Little Women where Laurie and Jo go ice skating on a lake.
There are a few tricky bits, but there is a link in the pattern to a Youtube Help video.
I think she's a lovely unusual Christmas tea cosy that people will adore, especially the Downton Abbey and Bridgerton fans!
