The giant tortoise looks so cute, he's obviously on a walk about and he is stood on his legs and his head is up and out looking to see where he is going.

I love the knobbly shells of the tortoise, their patterns give them character and I have re-created the bumpiness of the shell on the tea cosy. There are a few short rows that help to create the lumps on the shell.

The claws on his feet are super cute, they are knitted bobbles that are worked into one row of the leg. There is a link to a Youtube help video to show you how to knit the bobbles.

He's a lovely tea cosy to make and he looks amazing, he's perfect for people who love reptiles.
