Mexican Redknee Tarantula Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern

Not ideal for the faint hearted or arachnophobes, but Mexican Redknee Tarantula Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern knits up to a massive spider tea cosy that will probably scare allthe spiders in the house.

When you think of a tarantula, I think that we probably image the black and orange one, which is the Mexican Redkee tarantula. So I chose to base the tea cosy on that species, and the colours are appropriate for Halloween and autumn. I thought the lovely orangey knees would look more effective than a plain black house spider.

His legs are knitted and stuffed and then drawn up at intervals to add shaping and structural support, so that the legs stand in an arched shape.
