Cotton yarn 50 g/137 yds, Sport Yarn, 5ply, crochet hook 2,5 mm,
a pair of safety eyes, Kinder-Surprise Egg Shell, yarn needle.
ABBREVIATIONS
Ch = chain
St= stitch
Sc=single crochet
Hdc= half double crochet
Sl st= slip stitch
dec = decrease stitch (two single crochets together)
inc = increase stitch (two single crochets into one stitch)
Rnd=Round
INSTRUCTIONS
I don´t join rounds with the help of slip stitch but crochet in a circle.
BODY
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic circle.
Rnd 2: inc 6 times (12 sts)
Rnd 3: *sc in next st, inc* (18 sts)
Rnd 4: *sc in each of next 2 sts, inc* (24 sts)
Rnd 5: *inc, sc in each of next 3 sts * (30 sts)
Rnd 6: sc in each of next 30 M
Rnd 7: *inc, sc in each of next 4 sts * (36 sts)
Rnd 8-15: sc in each of next 36 sts.
Put shell inside.
Rnd 16: *dec, sc in each of next 4 sts* (30 sts).
Rnd 17: *dec, sc in each of next 3 sts* (24 sts).
Rnd 18: *dec, sc in each of next 2 sts* (18 sts).
Rnd 19: *dec, sc in next st* (12 sts).
Rnd 20: *dec*.
Fasten off.
TENTACLE (6x)
Ch 23, hdc in 3th st from the hook, 2 hdc in each of next st.
Cast off leaving a long tail for sewing.
FINISHING
Sew tentacles to the bottom of the octopus.
Sew or stick plastic eyes to the body. Embroider mouth with pink or black yarn.
