The Photographer Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern is an old style 'Watch the birdie', cameraman from the 19th century; an era of rapidly accelerating scientific discovery and photography.

The photographer is there with his old camera on a tripod. He is bent over so that he can look through the view, and his bottom is sticking out behind him. We can't see his head because he's under the blackout sheet.

I love the 'Birdie' on the top of his camera. In the Victorian times the bird would have been made of brass, but I thought a little blue bird would be much more cheery.
