Start loop
Crochet starts always with a chain of chains where you crochet on top the 1st row of double crochet or single crochet.
Before you start with a chain you need to form the starting loop. The start loop is the start.
How do I crochet the start loop?
You need a thicker yarn with the fitting crochet hook.
1. Variation
Place the string around the pointing finger of the left hand,
Push the crochet hook underneath the string and turn it around.
Get the yarn and pull it through the loop.
The start loop is now done! Now we can start with the chain of chains.
Get the yarn and pull it through the start loop,
Now a loop is forming up.
*Get yarn over again and pull it through the loop *
Repeat the step from * to * as often as you need.
Now you get a chain of chains.
2. Variation
Form a loop with the yarn,
Push the crochet hook underneath the string
Now pull the string from back to front through the loop.
Now pull on both string ends and you will form the start loop.
