One idea you can definitely consider is writing love messages. Write loving messages or poems that come from the heart. If you want to be particularly creative, you can also integrate small gifts or vouchers into the messages. For example, a voucher for a dinner together or a romantic walk. Your loved ones will be touched by the love and effort you put into these handmade gifts. So let your creativity run wild and put a smile on your loved ones’ faces!
In this blog article we would like to show you how you can crochet a cute loveletter holder. This DIY project is perfect for creative people who love making personal gifts. The loveletter holder is not only a cute accessory, but also a practical way to present your loving message. To crochet the letter holder, all you need is some basic crocheting skills and a little time. We will show you step by step how to crochet the different pieces and then put them together to create an adorable letter holder. If you're new to crocheting, don't worry - we'll also share some helpful tips and tricks to make the process easier. So grab your crochet hook and let's start creating this unique loveletter holder filled with love.
You need:
- a crochet hook number 3
- a wool of your choice that is exactly suitable for this needle size (I recommend cotton yarn, which - at least in my opinion - simply works best for this project)
And this is how it is connected with love:
First, the two intertwined hearts are crocheted. For the first heart, all you have to do is close a chain stitch chain with 31 chain stitches into a ring with a slip stitch, three rising chain stitches and then crochet double crochet stitches onto the chain stitches as follows:
1. Crochet two double crochets on the first chain stitch.
2. Crochet a double crochet on each of the next six chain stitches.
3. The following six chain stitches are each crocheted with two double crochets.
4. Now five double crochets are stitched together on the next five chain stitches.
5. Now crochet six chain stitches again with two double crochets each.
6. Crochet a double crochet on each of the next six chain stitches.
7. The last chain stitch is crocheted with two double crochets, the round is closed with a slip stitch in the top of the three rising chain stitches and the thread is pulled through.
If you crocheted correctly, you will have crocheted a total of 45 sticks. Otherwise, you should check again so that the heart doesn't distort.
You crochet the second heart exactly the same way. All you have to do is pull the chain stitch through the first heart at the beginning before closing the round. This causes the two hearts to devour each other.
In the next step you should now place the hearts on top of each other in the way you like them best and pin them with (safety) pins so that you can sew them together according to your ideas.
A little tip: Do not sew the ends of the two hearts before connecting them with the safety pins, but only at this point. Then you can use the threads directly for this.
Now you need the ribbon to which the two hearts are attached. You crochet this as follows:
1. Crochet 42 chain stitches (the last 3 replace the first double crochet)
2. Crochet a half double crochet in the fourth chain stitch from the hook
3. then crochet a stitch in each chain stitch. Next comes a single crochet stitch, half a double crochet stitch and a double crochet stitch.
4. The pattern one double crochet, half double crochet, single crochet, half double crochet, one double crochet is repeated until the end of the chain stitches.
5. Turn the work and repeat this row.
6. Crochet 10 chain stitches, skip 8 stitches, crochet a slip stitch in the 9th stitch and also crochet slip stitches back.
7. When you have reached the front again, crochet three chain stitches again as a replacement for the first double crochet and then like the rows before, of course crocheting the first stitches onto the slip stitches.
8. Now just crochet one more normally.
9.And finally sew the hearts onto the end without an opening. You're already done.
A little tip: The loveletter holder is also suitable as a napkin holder and can therefore be reused.
