The Auld Lang Syne tea cosy is a Hogmanay Hoolie depiction of what people like to do to see the new year in; cross arms, hold hands and sing Auld Lang Syne. This is the perfect tea cosy for New Years and Burns night.
As a nod towards Robert Burns and his Scottish heritage, the tea cosy has four Scotsmen dressed in kilts crossing arms, holding hands singing Auld Lang Syne. I have made the characters all individual with different facial expressions and different coloured tartan kilts. It makes the cosy look colourful and you could just imagine them swaying as they sing.
The main part of the cosy is black, I thought this would represent a lump of coal, the traditional gift of people first footing to bring luck and prosperity in the coming year to the household.
It's a great tea cosy and it's so unusual to have a tea cosy that celebrates the new year. The tea cosy is also great for Burn's night later on in January.
The tea cosy fits a medium sized tea pot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups.
