TeaCosyFolk's Lighthouse Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern makes you feel like your at the seaside on a coastal path checking out the waves.
The main part of the tea cosy is the base of the lighthouse and the tower of the lighthouse is knitted separately and added on.
Originally, lighthouses were lived in and were peoples homes as well as nautical life savers, so I made the lighthouse look homely with doors and windows and a little porch.
At the top of the tower is the light that has a lattice metal frame around the glass to brace it from the storms and gales. Through the lattice work you can see the yellow glow from the light.
It's my love of lighthouses that inspired me to create a lighthouse tea cosy. It's a lovely tea cosy for people who like me, love lighthouses, but it has a wider appeal to people who live near or on the sea.
The Lighthouse tea cosy fits a medium sized tea pot that covers a Teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints.
The Lighthouse tea cosy is a 4 page knitting pattern that has lots of photos to help and guide you. The pattern uses Stylecraft Special DK yarn.
